About Michelle's
Established in 2020 in Holualoa, Hawaii, Michelle’s Kona Coffee is nestled on five verdant acres on the western slope of Mount Hualalai (one of four active volcanoes that form the Big Island of Hawaii), in the world-famous Kona coffee belt, overlooking the town of Kailua-Kona.
Kona coffee is unique because it is grown in rich volcanic soil at high elevation and bathed in warm morning sun and gentle afternoon rains. Not all coffee grown in Hawaii is Kona coffee. The Hawaiian islands of Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Moloka'i and other regions of the Big Island grow coffee, but it is not "Kona" coffee unless grown in the Kona coffee geographic demarcation. The labeling of Kona coffee is governed by state law and Michelle's Kona Coffee is sampled, tested and certified by the Hawaii Department of Agriculture (HDOA).
